Host Your Celebration Here

Celebrations That Connect

Birthday parties, corporate team building, networking events, and private gatherings. We handle the setup, instruction, materials, and cleanup. You handle the guest list.

Every session is guided. No one gets left behind, and everyone leaves with something they made. We’ve hosted three-year-olds and 80-year-olds in the same room. It works because the focus is on creating together, not perfection.

All ages welcome. Groups of 6 to 30. BYOB for adult events. Sessions run 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on your project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your fluid art, resin, or creative experience at Hangout for Art in Allentown, PA.

What is fluid art, and what happens during a class?

Different pigments of paint are made of different materials, each
with a specific weight and density. When suspended in a fluid
medium, pigments move around, sometimes mix, and often rise or
sink to create the appearance of organic cells on the canvas —
the result is always one-of-a-kind.

Our 1 to 1.5 hour classes take place in our ventilated Allentown
studio and include everything you need to create a beautiful piece
on whatever size canvas (or surface) you choose. Your instructor
demonstrates techniques, helps you pick colors, and guides you
through bringing your vision to life. When you’re happy with the
final result, your instructor will walk you through drying times
and project pickup.

Everyone! We host individuals, friend groups, couples, families,
school and civic groups, corporate teams, and businesses. Our
studio is well ventilated and temperature controlled, and all of
our products are non-toxic, water-based, and easy to use, so
guests of every skill level feel comfortable creating with us.

No artistic experience is necessary! Our most common feedback
after a session is, “I know exactly what I’m going to do next
time!” Every project is instructor-guided so you’ll leave with
something you’re proud of, even if it’s the first creative thing
you’ve made in years.

For most fluid art experiences we recommend children be at least
3 years old before participating with a parent or guardian.
Children under 13 must always be supervised by a parent or
guardian during the experience.

Some experiences (such as resin pours, jewelry making, and soap
making) have a higher minimum age — check the individual
experience page for the exact age range, or contact us if you’re
unsure whether a project is right for your child.

Pricing depends on the project and canvas/surface size you choose.
Most experiences start around $25–$45 per person, with larger
canvases and specialty projects (like resin galaxy scenes,
charcuterie boards, and dog paintings) priced higher based on
materials.

Group, youth, and fundraising packages have their own pricing —
youth group bundles, for example, start at $35 per participant.
Visit any individual experience page to see exact pricing and
book.

Book directly from any experience page on our website — each one
has its own “Book Now” button that takes you to that experience’s
live calendar where you can pick a date and time, choose your
project size, and pay. If you can’t decide which project to book,
choose the “Decide In Studio” option and pick your project when
you arrive.

For groups of 8+, fundraisers, corporate events, or studio
rentals, please reach out to us directly at fun@hangoutforart.com
so we can build a package that fits your group.

Once a booking is confirmed, we don’t offer cancellations, but
we’re happy to reschedule. To reschedule without a fee, please
give us at least 48 hours’ notice. Rescheduling is available
within six months of your original booking date.

Late rescheduling requests may incur a fee, and no-shows forfeit
their booking. If something unexpected comes up, the best thing
to do is email us as soon as you know — we’ll do our best to
work with you.

Both options are available. You can book a private art party for
exclusive use of the studio with just your group, or a shared
studio experience where other guests may be creating at the same
time. Private events are great for birthdays, bridal parties,
corporate teams, and any group that wants the studio to
themselves.

Most fluid art classes run 1 to 1.5 hours. Resin, jewelry, soap
making, and other specialty experiences may run a little longer
depending on the project. We’ll always let you know the expected
length when you book, and you can plan extra time afterward to
take photos and chat.

Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes you don’t mind
getting paint on — even though we provide aprons, fluid art is,
well, fluid. Avoid your favorite white sneakers!

Everything else you need is included: paints, canvases (or
surfaces), tools, aprons, and instructor guidance. If you’d like
to bring your own snacks or drinks, see the BYOB question below.

Yes! Hangout for Art is BYOB-friendly for guests 21 and over.
You’re welcome to bring beer, wine, seltzers, and snacks to enjoy
while you create. We provide cups, openers, and a relaxed studio
vibe. Please drink responsibly — instructors reserve the right to
ask anyone to step away from materials if they’re no longer able
to participate safely.

For private events, fundraisers, and corporate bookings, let us
know in advance if you’d like to bring food or drinks for your
group.

Nope! For groups of 6 or fewer, everyone is welcome to choose
their own project. Larger groups may need to coordinate project
choices to keep everyone on schedule — we’ll help you figure out
the best mix when you book. Different project selections can
extend session length slightly.

For private events, fundraisers, and corporate bookings, let us
know in advance if you’d like to bring food or drinks for your
group.

Not at all. Choose the “Decide In Studio” option when booking,
and you can pick your project when you arrive. Your instructor
will walk you through the available projects and help you settle
on something that fits the time, your group, and your style.

We’re located at 3325 Hamilton Blvd., Allentown, PA 18104. Free
parking is available right at the studio, so you don’t need to
plan around meters or paid lots. The studio is on the ground
floor with easy access from the parking area.

Drying time varies by project:

– Fluid art canvases: typically 3–7 days to fully dry
– Resin pieces (galaxy scenes, tumblers, jewelry, coasters):
24–72 hours to cure, depending on the project
– Other crafts (moss paintings, hat patches, soap, wood
cutouts): usually ready the same day or next day

We’ll give you a specific pickup window for your piece at the
end of class. You’re welcome to pick up your finished project
any time during studio hours within 30 days.

Yes — for guests visiting from out of town or anyone who can’t
make it back to pick up, we can ship your finished piece within
the United States once it’s fully dry/cured. Shipping is offered
at cost, and we’ll send you a payment link with the exact rate
based on size, weight, and destination. Just ask your instructor
before you leave the studio so we can flag your project for
shipping.

Absolutely. Fluid art knocks down many of the barriers traditional
art classes can put up — there’s no need for paintbrushes,
precision movement, or even traditional sensory input — which
makes it a wonderful experience for guests with intellectual,
motor, and sensory disabilities.

We have hosted special needs adults, neurodivergent groups, and
mixed-ability groups, and we’re happy to adapt the pace,
materials, and project choices to make sure everyone has a great
time. Please reach out at fun@hangoutforart.com ahead of your
visit so we can plan the best experience for your group.

Our studio can comfortably host groups of up to around 20 guests

for a private event, depending on the project. For groups larger

than that — corporate teams, school groups, fundraisers — please

contact us so we can plan capacity, project mix, and timing.

We’ve successfully hosted larger groups by splitting them into

back-to-back sessions or using our studio rental option.

Yes — we love supporting local nonprofits. We donate experiences,

partnership, fill out our quick donation request form at

hands-on, low-pressure, and gets people talking. We host
corporate teams, networking groups, and “lunch & learn” creative
sessions. We can also customize the experience with branded
canvases, color palettes that match your company, or tie-in
activities. Email fun@hangoutforart.com to plan your event.
